As I was reading the book to the class several of the students started telling me that they had watched the movie on Net Flex. Now watching movies at school is NOT one of my favorite things but since the movie accompanies a book that we are reading, we are going to watch it.
After seeing the kids' enthusiasm, I started to poke around on the internet to see what else I could find that was Boxcar related. I stumbled across this website and thought I should share!

Valentine Party
Our Valentine's Day party will be held on February 10 from 2:30-3:30.
We will be exchanging Valentine cards at the party so please plan to send 23 cards. They can be homemade or store bought. Please have your child address the cards as they are more than capable of doing this job! :) If you would like to send a little Valentine treat, please tape it to your child's valentine cards. To help your child address his/her cards, I have included a class list (below).
Your child will also need a Valentine box to gather his/her Valentine cards in. I have many fond memories of making my box with my mom! You can do whatever you want for your child's box, but be sure to clearly display your child's name on it. If you are unable to make a box with your child, please let me know and I will help your child make one at school. The same is true regarding Valentine cards. If you are unable to purchase them, please let me know and I will take care of this for you.
