Halloween Party Tomorrow!Don't forget......................the Halloween Party is tomorrow (October 28) at 2:00. Please send your child's costume as we will be wearing costumes for the party. If you don't have a costume for your child, please let me know ASAP!
The plans for the party are underway and most of the supplies needed have been purchased. One thing that is still needed is prizes for the games. If you would be willing to donate some little trinkets to be used as prizes,, please let Amie (Timmy's mom) know. She can be reached at 402-616-1859. Our Halloween Party will be held on Friday, October 28, at 2:00. The children will be wearing costumes to the party so please send your child's costume the day of the party. Please don't send your child IN his/her costume as we will be changing right before the party. Though I'm not picky about what type of costume you send, I do ask that it be appropriate for school (no guns, fake blood, etc.). The party will last until 3:00 and you are free to take your child home with you when it's over. Come and join us! I'm sure it will be LOTS of fun! How ToWe have finished our writing unit on personal narratives (true stories that have happened in our lives) and are going to start a HOW TO unit. Please talk with your child about things he/she knows "how to do" so he/she will have topics to write about. Box TopsOnce again we are collecting box tops and receipts from HyVee. If you have some that you have been saving, please send them to school asap, as they will be picked up for the first time next week.

Students are working on identifying various objects as either a solid or a liquid. Talk with your child about items around your home. Are they solids or liquids? Below is a tray that we used to sort objects into their appropriate categories. Ask your child to tell you whether each item below is a solid or liquid and WHY they think so..
