Yesterday a note was sent home about the upcoming music program. Because I know that not all of the notes actually made it home, I will post it below. From Mrs. O'Connell: Your child is part of a short music program that will take place in the Lewis Central Middle School Auditorium Monday, February 25, at 7 pm. This program is given in conjunction with music class at school and fulfills your child's graded standard of music performance. Please have your child at the LCMS Auditorium by 6:45 that evening. Your child will meet their classroom teacher in the band room to line up. I would like the students to wear BLACK SHIRTS for this concert. Jeans are okay, buy high heeled shoes are not, as they can be a tripping hazard. If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected]. 100th Day of SchoolWe had a great time celebrating the 100th day of school! We played Kahoot, had a fun snack, and looked at pictures that compared how we look today compared to how we will look when we are 100 years old. LOL KahootThese three were the winners of Kahoot! Congratulations boys! Indoor RecessThough fresh air and exercise is important, the kids LOVE indoor recess! Outdoor RecessPlease keep in mind that we DO go out to recess, unless the temperature is less than 10 degrees. Students should have at least a winter coat and gloves. For students who want to play in the snow, snow boots and snow pants are required. Reading HomeworkPlease watch for reading homework. I will periodically be sending a book home to practice. Please read the book twice, talk about it, then return it.
It is very important that the book is returned on time as it will be needed for your child's reading group. Thanks! This information was shared with the teachers regarding Pennies For Patients:
Monday, February 4th we will start to collect money for Pennies for Patients. Please bring any change that you have collected in your rooms to the office by 10 am. We will have buckets in here to dump the change into. We will be doing this for the whole month of February, so please send the small boxes back home with the students and every Monday we will do the collection. |
